Bits about our teachers:

Kathy
Boger is originally from Wilmington, DE.
Ms Boger graduated from Winston Salem State University with a
B.S. in Early Childhood Education, she later went on to earn a
Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Delaware State
University. She has taught grades K through 5 throughout her
career in education. Ms. Boger has 2 children Lewis and Kristen
and a grandson ELIJAH!!!

Sally Brizzolara
hails from Wisconsin where she graduated from the University of Wisconsin as an undergraduate. Believing in continuing education, she went on to receive her master degrees in middle school and library science. She has been teaching since 1984. "Don't be a leaf when you can be a tree" is the motto of her classroom. Remember always be the best that you can be!

Jessica
Clements grew up
in Gwinnett County Schools. She graduated from Georgia College
and State University with a Bachelor of Science in Early
Childhood Education. Ms. Clements had a dream of teaching from
the time she was four years old. She wants every child to enjoy
learning and believe that they can be successful. Ms. Clements
enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Laura Hiller grew
up in metro Atlanta area. She graduated in 1994 from GA. State
University with a B.A. degree in English Literature. She worked
as a commercial insurance underwriter and broker for ten years
before getting her Master's in Teaching from Brenau in 2008.
Mrs. Hiller loves her family, her dogs, reading, running, and
gardening.

Angrett Holmes
earned her undergraduate degree in
Elementary Education from Mississippi University for Women, Masters
Degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College and
Specialist's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College.
She began her teaching career in 1976. She has taught at Berkeley Lake
since 1992. Ms. Holmes’ goal is to constantly challenge her students
with quality work that will help them to achieve at their maximum
capability.

Ana Lisa Johnson has
been teaching for eight years. She has taught first grade,
second grade, and fifth and sixth grades in both the public and
private school setting. She earned her undergraduate degree from
North Georgia College and State University in Early Childhood
Education, with an ESOL endorsement. Additionally, she completed
her M. Ed from Georgia State University and studied Reading,
Language, and Literacy with an Early Literacy concentration. She
enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including her
Vizsla, Piper and is an avid runner and yoga enthusiast.

Jawana Kelson is a native of New Jersey.
She graduated from the Elon College with a Bachelor's
Degree in Early Childhood Education, and in May 2005 received a
Master's Degree in Elementary Education
from Piedmont College.
She also has certification in Gifted Education.
She has been teaching in Gwinnett since 1999, with
experience in kindergarten, second grade and third grade. She
loves reading and spending time with her family.

Leigh Ann Letson,
came to Berkeley Lake in 1993. She
is a graduate of Mercer University. Her goal for students is for them to
become independent learners. Ms. Letson has a great love and compassion
for teaching.

Mary Anne Sheppard has worked
at Berkeley Lake since 1992. She loves animals, especially dogs. Ms. Sheppard has a dog named Charlie.
She loves to bake chocolate chip cookies.

Kathy F. Smith
graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's Degree
in Early Childhood Education, and in January 2006 received a Master's
Degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. She has been
teaching in Gwinnett since 1994, with over a decade of experience in
second grade and one year as an EIP Reading instructor. Mrs. Smith moved
to Berkeley Lake Elementary so that she could work in the community in
which she lives and so that her two children could attend their
neighborhood school. She loves reading and spending time with her
family.
