Student Clubs 2011 - 2012
Art Club
The Art Club explores unique and creative ways of making art! Students will be able to try out different ideas and projects not usually done in the regular art room due to large numbers of students. Projects may include fabric, special paint, experimental art, clay, jewelry, plaster, and mixed materials. The 4th grade club meets from September - December. The 5th grade club will meet from January - May.

Enviro-Rangers Club
The Enviro-Rangers Club is a club for students who care about our Earth. We will help with our school’s recycling program while learning fun and important ways to have “Earth Day Every Day.” |
Digital Photography Club
The Photography Club learns all about digital cameras and photography basics. We explore portrait and landscape photography as well as using pictures to tell a story. We take and download pictures and use Photoshop Elements to edit our work. In addition, we use Photostory to create picture slideshows and stories.

PE Club 
Get fit & have fun! PE Club is a great way to have fun while you are getting fit. PE Club members have an opportunity to create their own game and also try out new games that will be introduced to the PE classes. |
Mad Science
Have you ever wanted to launch a rocket? How about dropping an egg from 2 stories up? Would you like to make a volcano erupt? We are going to get messy and perform several experiments! Are you ready for some fun and exciting activities to keep you wondering??

4th and 5th Grade Chorus
The 5th grade chorus will practice from September to the end of December. The 4th grade chorus will practice from January to May. It is a commitment and members rely on each other to be present for all rehearsals. Chorus involves singing in front of an audience and hard work. It is a great deal of fun but requires participation and good behavior. |

Readers Rally Book Club
Do you LOVE to read and would you like to share your love of reading with others? Students will read books from the Readers Rally Book List and participate in discussion and activities pertaining to the books. The club will culminate in a school competition which will determine the team of ten students who will go on to the county competition. |

Kiwanis Kids Club
Second - Fifth graders! Ten interested students from each grade level wil be invited to join the largest service organization for elementary age children in the world.
The objectives of Burnette's K-Kids Club are:
- To provide opportuniites for working together in service to school and community.
- To develop leadership potential.
- To foster the development of a strong moral character.
- To encourage lyalty to school, community, and nation.

The Technology Club is made up of third grade students that are excited about learning how to use technology in school.
Club Goals:
1. In an environment of inquiry, discovery and critical thinking, foster a deeper understanding of technology as a learning tool by exposing students to a wide variety of software and technology applications.
2. Promote technology integration at Burnette Elementary by shaping student technology leaders within the classroom.
3. Provide authentic opportunities to apply new skills through school-based projects.
