The Broad Prize Scholarship
Gwinnett County Public Schools has won $1 million dollars in scholarship money!!! This year’s graduating seniors are eligible for scholarships ranging from $5,000 for students attending two-year colleges to $20,000 for those attending four-year colleges. The scholarships recognize graduating seniors who may not necessarily be “straight-A” students, but who have instead improved their grades since freshman year and who demonstrate a financial need. Applications can be found at www.broadprize.org. Deadline is March 1, 2011.
To qualify, students must:
1. Graduate from Gwinnett County Public Schools
2. Have a minimum weighted grade point average of 2.75 in their senior year.
3. Enroll full time at an accredited college in the fall of 2011.
4. Show academic improvement from the 9th to the 11th grade as measured by an improved GPA
5. Demonstrate financial need.6. Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
7. Complete a Broad Prize scholarship application.
