GHSGT : Georgia High School Graduation Tests
GHSGT consists of four state mandated tests that must be passed for graduation. Tests are in Science, Social Studies, Math, and Language Arts.

GHSWT : Georgia High School Writing Test
GHSWT is a state mandated writing test that must be passed to graduate.
Section 20-2-281 of the Quality Basic Education Act, as amended in 1991, requires that writing assessments be administered to students in grades three, five, eight, and eleven. For more information, visit the link below.

EOCT : End of Course Test
This is a mandated test by the state of Georgia. It is given in selected courses. They are Biology, Physical Science, Algebra I*, Geometry*, ninth and eleventh grade Language Arts, Us History, and Economics. This test will be scored and will count 15% of the final grade. (*or the equivalent course).
The A+ Educational Reform Act of 2000, O.C.G.A. §20-2-281, mandates that the State Board of Education adopt end-of-course assessments in grades nine through twelve for core subjects to be determined by the State Board of Education. With educator input, and State Board approval, the End-of-Course Testing program is therefore comprised of eight content area assessments. For more information, visit the link below.

Gateway
The Gateway is a county mandated test that must be passed to receive a diploma in Gwinnett County. It is a writing test in Social studies and Science. It is graded on knowledge of the subject and language arts writing skills. Gwinnett's Gateway tests measure how well students are learning the Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS). The Gateway tests are used in certain grades to determine whether or not students are prepared to go on to the next grade level. PSAT, SAT: Scholastic Aptitude Test
The SAT reasoning test is a measure of the critical thinking skills needed for academic success in college. The SAT assesses how well a student analyzes and solves problems. All colleges and universities in Georgia accept scores from the SAT for admission purposes. The College Board determines the national testing dates and testing sites for the SAT exam. e.

ACT
