Lori N. Phillips

Mrs. Phillips has taught for 7 years. This is her 6th year in Gwinnett County Public Schools. She received her Bachelors of Science in education from North Georgia College and State University in 2003.  She followed with a Master of Education degree from Brenau University in 2005.  Finally, in 2007 she completed her Educational Specialist in Teacher Leadership by returning to North Georgia.  She has been married almost 7 years and has decided she has had enough higher education for the time being. Now that she is a mom, higher education is on the back burner.

5th Grade
The Gwinnett County Schools curriculum is entitled the Academic Knowledge and Skills or AKS. You can find a complete list of the fifth grade curriculum by clicking here.

Promotion requirements for fourth grade 2008-2009 school year are scores of 800 or more in all content areas of the CRCT.

Students are expected to follow the rules provided in the Cooper Handbook and the Code of Conduct.  The Code of Conduct is posted in every classroom.  Students who can not follow the rules will receive consequences according to the handbook.  Communication with parents is done through weekly newsletters in the Friday folder, e-mails, twice yearly conferences, and phone calls. Homework is given most nights of the week and should be recorded by the student in the agenda by the student. Parents should check agendas daily.  All communications to the teacher are best received by email. Lori_Phillips@gwinnett.k12.ga.us
