At Freeman's Mill Elementary we are dedicated to providing a safe and secure school that exhibits mutual respect among all members of the school community. Teachers are committed to using a variety of teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each individual in a student-centered environment where student learning is a central focus. Finally, there is a combined responsibility among parents, students and teachers to ensure student success.

Our school opened in the Fall of 1999 and our student population has since grown to over 1,100 in grades kindergarten through 5th. In the 1800's when John W. Freeman, Winfield Scott Freeman and Dr. Samuel Harris Freeman used their professions as the first postmaster, grist mill owner and doctor to develop the Dacula area, they never imagined their impact would be recognized over a 100 years later with an elementary school named for them. The Freeman family prepared the community for the 20th century with commerce, transportation, medicine, and churches. Freeman's Mill Elementary is preparing a new generation for the challenges of the 21st century.
