Our school opened in the Fall of 1999 and our student population has since grown to over 1,100 in grades kindergarten through 5th. In the 1800's when John W. Freeman, Winfield Scott Freeman and Dr. Samuel Harris Freeman used their professions as the first postmaster, grist mill owner and doctor to develop the Dacula area, they never imagined their impact would be recognized over a 100 years later with an elementary school named for them. The Freeman family prepared the community for the 20th century with commerce, transportation, medicine, and churches. Freeman's Mill Elementary is preparing a new generation for the challenges of the 21st century. |
