|MetLife Life Insurance|
All GCPS benefits-eligible employees are provided Basic Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance coverage of $15,000 provided by the Board of Education at no charge to the employee ($25,000 for School Board Members).
Supplemental Life Insurance is an anytime benefit and can be reduced or discontinued during the plan year through the Go.Gwinnett Portal.
MetLife Supplemental Life Insurance
All benefits-eligible employees may elect Supplemental Life Insurance coverage up to three times their annual salary with guarantee issuance. All applications four to six times their salary are contingent upon approval by MetLife. All group policies are term life and reflect employee's age and salary.
NOTE: If the Supplemental Life Insurance amount elected through the Go.Gwinnett Portal is higher then what the active employee currently has, the employee must also print, complete, and submit a MetLife Statement of Health Questionnaire to the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company address or fax number listed on the questionnaire.
MetLife Dependent Life Insurance
All benefits-eligible employees may elect Dependent Life Insurance coverage of $5,000 ($1.40/month), $10,000 ($2.80/month), or $15,000 ($4.20/month) for spouse and each dependent age 6 months and older. Dependent Life Insurance is an anytime benefit and can be elected or discontinued throughout the plan year via the Go.Gwinnett Portal.
