Fall 2015, we shared plans to begin the process of transitioning the Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) 403(b) and 457(b) Retirement Savings Plans from the current two-provider servicing model to a single investment provider.

The following information explains how the transition will affect current investments:

Which plan is better for you?

403(b) or 457(b)?

New to the School District?

As a part of employment with the School District, beginning on July 1, 2011, new full-time employees are automatically enrolled in a Savings Plan.

Retirement Savings Plans Communications

Which company is approved to provide Savings Plans in the Gwinnett County School District?

The Gwinnett Board of Education approved VALIC as the exclusive record keeper and investment provider for contributions to the Retirement Savings Plans.

Want to Enroll or Make Changes?

Employees can enroll in a Savings Plan, elect changes to contributions of an existing plan, or access plan information by using the website software provided by the School District called Retirement Manager.
