Let me be the first to welcome you to Jenkins Elementary! I am excited to be a member of the founding staff of the newest school in the Central Cluster. I am thrilled to be staying in the Cluster that I have committed my enthusiasm and energy to for the past 6 years at Simonton Elementary. We are a strong, cohesive Cluster that is focused on teaching and learning with high expectations for all of our students. Jenkins Elementary will continue the passion for excellence as we welcome our 950 students and 95 staff members.
The Lawrenceville community has a wonderful opportunity to get involved and join hands to create a high performing and world class school. I invite you to email me any interest you might have in several of the Community Involvement Opportunities. Please take time to look at our school calendar. We will have community nights once a month on a Thursday evening that focus on specific instructional strategies for accelerating student learning. Jenkins will become a “paperless” school. Our website and email is the way that we will be communicating with you on a weekly basis. If you will make sure that the school has your email address during registration you will be able to access your child’s grades and other important information. Our teachers will be posting their classroom newsletters and updating grades on a weekly basis.
I want to thank you for giving me the privilege of working with your children every day. I am committed to providing a positive school environment where children want to learn and reap the reward of hard work. Our teachers are committed to bringing out the best in each and every child.
We look forward to seeing you on July 19, from 4:00 - 8:00 as we "roam our new home".
