On sunny days and dark nights, dragonflies roam the pond.  Dragonflies come in many different colors, shapes, and sizes. There are many different facts about them and I had a chance to learn and read more  about them.  Maybe after you read what I found out about them, you might want to learn more about them on your own time.  If you want to learn more about them, you can because they are very interesting. Where do dragonflies live? Dragonflies live in ponds, marshes, swamps and woods. Dragonflies live in wetlands .There are nerly 5,000 types of dragonflies. How do dragonflies  fly? When dragonflies lay their eggs, they lay them on plants near quiet streams.  The dragonfly nymphs hatch out of  the eggs and they live in the water.Nymphs have gills so they can breathe under water.  When the nymph is ready to molt for the first time, it climbs out of the water onto a reed.  Then its exoskeleton splits behind the head and down its back, and the adult dragonfly pulls itself out.  The adult dragonfly has to dry its wings before it can fly.
