Heather Alvira
returns for her 12th year at Minor to work with students in 2nd, 3rd,
and 4th grades. She attended
Jacksonville State University, where she received her Bachelors Degree
in Elementary Education. Mrs. Alvira has two Masters Degrees, one in
Elementary Education from Walden University and her second in School
Counseling from the University of West Alabama. She obtained her
Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University in
Educational Leadership and Supervision. She is currently a doctoral
candidate and anticipates graduation with a degree in Curriculum and
Instruction in December 2013.
Mrs. Alvira has
taught kindergarten, first grade, fifth grade, and ESOL.
She enjoys traveling, cheering on the sidelines for her
daughters, baking, crafting, and spending time with her family and
friends. Mrs. Alvira and her husband Sergio have three daughters:
Caitlin, Carlee, and Isabella.
