Tenesha Caldwell grew up in North
Carolina, the “Tarheel State”, where she attended NC A&T
State University and majored in Elementary Education. Upon
graduation she decided to move to the Atlanta area and she’s
been here since. As a teacher she observed the various
barriers some students face that hinder their learning and
decided to pursue her Masters and Specialist degrees in
School Counseling from Georgia State University. She has
experience in both elementary and middle school settings.
This is her fourth year at Minor Elementary and this year
she is the school counselor for kindergarten, first, and
When she is not at school, Mrs.
Caldwell enjoys cooking, reading a good book, and spending
time with her family. She and her husband, Demond, have one
son, Devon, that they continuously encourage as he develops
his love of sports.
