Department Information:

Classroom teachers of Oakland Meadow, provide a comprehensive educational program for students and a network of support for their families. Our goal is to maximize student potential through a variety of chronologically age-appropriate programs and delivery models in order to improve and maintain each student's quality of life.
Through our collaboration with parents and professionals, students at Oakland Meadow benefit from a variety of services and programs in a self-contained setting. Students not only receive physical, occupational, speech, and vision therapies (per their individualized program), but also enjoy adaptive physical education, pet therapy, camp fire activities, and scheduled trips into the community to generalize skills in addition to intensive classroom instruction. Students whose medical conditions prevent them from attending school receive homebound instruction from dedicated itinerant staff. We constantly seek to maintain and improve instruction to insure every day is a meaningful day for our students at Oakland Meadow.
