Mrs. Whitney Duncan


               
Mrs. Duncan grew up here in Gwinnett County.  She has been playing viola since 1991.  She was a member of Five Forks Middle School Phantom Orchestra and Parkview High School Chamber Orchestra.  She was also a member of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) from 1992-1997.                                                                              
                Mrs. Duncan attended Georgia State University for her undergraduate degree and graduated magna cum laude in 2003.  She just finished her masters degree from the University of Michigan.
  Outside of Shiloh Middle, Mrs. Duncan teaches private violin and viola lessons and performs around the Atlanta area.                                                     

When she is not actively teaching or making music, Mrs. Duncan enjoys movies, reading, volunteering at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, and spending time with her husband, Corey, and new little boy David!


Miss Whitney Tinley

Miss Tinley grew up in Indiana.  She began playing bass in 1989. 

She was a member of her middle and high school orchestras in Indiana.  She also participated in the Indianapolis Philharmonic Orchestra and the Indiana High School All-State Orchestra.

She attended DePauw for her undergraduate degree and graduated in 2001. 
She has received her masters of music education from the University of Georgia.

Along with teaching at Shiloh MS., Miss Tinley teaches private bass lessons, performs with local music ensembles, and is an instructor at the ENCORE and GaASTA music camps.

Outside of music, Miss Tinley’s hobbies include running, and traveling the world.
