Hour of Code

Summerour Middle School STEM Club members recently participated in One Hour of Code. The project is a nationwide initiative and thousands of students across the country created codes for several different video games. The project was a huge success and the students gained a wealth of knowledge about coding!

Thanks to Mr. Saint Fleur, Mrs. Glover-Jones, Mrs. Banks, and Ms. Mason for all of their sacrifices and dedication.

The STEM Club hit it’s mark in a very big way! Thank you for the support of all our individual and community sponsors. We are so proud of what we have accomplished.

Interested in trying the Hour Of Code challenge yourself?

Sustained Silent Reading: Every Monday!

Every Monday morning our students engage in a block of "Sustained Silent Reading" during their Blue Devil Block. Parents, we would like to enlist your help in getting your students to bring their books and read.

Our teachers are bringing their books and reading. Mrs. Jarrett is bringing her book and reading. Even some of our guests, like Mr. Park, November's Principal for the Day bring books to read on Monday. Help us get your child reading, by making sure they have a book to read!
