Dress Code Policy:
As part of our vision for unity and school spirit at Summerour Middle School. We believe that students who are dressed for success do better in school. We encourage each student to BtB (Believe the Best). Our mandatory Dress Code Policy allows students to focus on the important part of school, academics. We want each student to be the best they can be.
If you would like to purchase IB-specific polos and pants, visit Gumdrops and check out their available packages
in person, in Summerour's Media Center during regular school hours
Are You Connected?
Summerour Middle School and GCPS are currently focused on four major initiatives… initiatives connected to our core business of teaching and learning and to our county's vision of becoming a system of world-class schools.
We encourage you to learn more about these initiatives on the GCPS website:
Sustained Silent Reading: Every Monday!
Every Monday morning our students engage in a block of "Sustained Silent Reading" during their Blue Devil Block. Parents, we would like to enlist your help in getting your students to bring their books and read.
Our teachers are bringing their books and reading. Mrs. Jarrett is bringing her book and reading. Even some of our guests, like Mr. Park, November's Principal for the Day bring books to read on Monday. Help us get your child reading, by making sure they have a book to read!
