Most of you are aware of the huge problem inappropriate use of social media has become over the last several years because people don’t #ThinkBeforeYouPost .
Gwinnett County Public Schools is now a partner with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, better known as the FBI, to raise awareness among students about the consequences that can arise from their online behavior. We will be selecting two Summerour students to serve on the think before you post student ambassador program for Gwinnett county schools. If you have great ideas for reaching and teaching your peers about being good digital citizens and thinking before they post, ask your teacher to recommend you. Your knowledge may help someone else stay out of social media trouble.

Our 8th grade students had the amazing chance to participate in an extended learning opportunity to the symposium for The Power of We!
This exciting event featured several compelling business leaders and motivational speakers from around the world – telling their stories of overcoming adversity to achieve their goals. This amazing event will be televised on MTV!
The winners of The Power of We Symposium essay contest for 8th graders were announced at the conference in Atlanta on Friday. The topic was “How I Plan to Change the World”. Melany R. and Huutam T. took first and second place. A venture capitalist heard Melany’s essay and is going to fund her project. Wow! Way to go, Melany!
