GIRLS ON THE RUN IS COMING TO SUWANEE ELEMENTARY!

Girls on the Run is a program that educates and prepares girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The program consists of training for a 5K race while incorporating character building and self esteem enhancing activities. Participants gain a better understanding of how to make healthy decisions, resolve conflict, maintain a positive attitude, and build strong and supportive relationships. The Girls on the Run program takes place over 12 weeks and consists of groups of 8-15 girls in grades 3-5.  The girls meet twice a week for 90 minutes after school.  The Suwanee Elementary team will meet on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:00-4:30pm.  Registration is limited to the first 15 girls who sign up.  Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on January 24th.  Look for more information coming home in Friday Folders on January 21st or check out the GOTR website at www.girlsontherunatlanta.org .     Please click here to view the Girls on the Run flyer.
