- An executive summary of the System-level plan (usually 2-5 pages) includes highlights of technology program activities as it summarizes key points from each section of the plan.
- By highlighting technology components, the System-level executive summary serves to educate readers about technology’s critical role in the System’s future plans. This ensures that those who do not have time to read the whole document still receive some info on technology programs and increases the chance that technology-related issues are prominent in System press releases, grant proposals, and other important documents.
- A short portion of the plan, either in the body or appendices, summarizes the technology-related components in the document, perhaps as a pull-out section for the board, for specific committees, or for other stakeholders.
- This technology-related executive summary piques interest in technology programs and related issues.
