Lysanne Matthews is the Instructional Coach for Autism. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the West Georgia University, a master’s degree in Community Counseling from Georgia State University, a Master’s degree in Emotional/Behavior Disorders from West Georgia University and an Education Specialist’s Degree in Special Education from West Georgia University. Ms. Matthews has 15+ years experience (six years in GCPS) in the classroom with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Prior to returning to Gwinnett County Public Schools, she completed her endorsements in Pre-K with Severe Disabilities and Autism at Florida State University. Ms. Matthews believes that educational opportunities for students with Special Needs have a direct impact on quality of life for individuals, families, and communities. She is excited about supporting educational programs for students in Gwinnett County Public Schools and implementing successful programs for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
