High School Counselors offer the following services via a comprehensive school counseling program:
  • Academic planning/support interventions
  • Organizational, study and test-taking skills
  • Coping strategies
  • Peer relationships and effective social skills
  • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution and study skills
  • Career Education
  • Individual and small-group counseling
  • Individual/family/school crisis intervention
  • Referrals within community as necessary
  • Consultation, collaboration and teaming with students, teachers, parents and administrators
  • Scholarship/financial search process
  • Parent conferencing
  • Crisis Management
  • Transitions programs
  • Portfolio development, providing recommendations and assisting students with the post-secondary application process
  • At-risk student identification and implementation of interventions to enhance success
