Email Tip #13: OOOPS! (Part 2)
When human beings and technology collide in the email arena, chaos can occur. The following are additional steps you can take to avoid disastrous email mistakes:
    If you think what you are writing and/or forwarding may be inappropriate, embarrassing, or come back to haunt you – click Cancel instead of Send. Chances are your instincts are right.
    If you are not sure you may regret your response, remove the name in the To: field and save the email in the Draft folder to give yourself time to consider all the ramifications.
    Always avoid replying when emotions are high.

Summary: Always use caution in your wording. When in doubt, leave it out. Make use of the Draft folder while deciding how to handle a response. Take a breather before firing off an emotional reply.
