          This week on "GCPS Focus"… Gwinnett County Public Schools' Budgets, Finance, and Accounting Department recognized for excellence in financial reporting, Mason Elementary's gifted students showcase their talents, a glimpse at school CARE teams in action, and systemwide coverage of holiday happenings … these stories and more are coming up on this week’s edition of your school system’s news show: "GCPS Focus." This week, Focus visits: Knight ES, Dr. M. H.Mason Jr. ES, R. L. Norton ES, Peachtree ES, and numerous school and administrative locations for "Holiday Greetings."

          Scenes from Tchaikovsky's
          Swan Lake

          GCPS TV is proud to present Brookwood HS' enchanting performance of Scenes from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. The program, which marked the first ever ballet performance with live orchestra in County history, features the Brookwood Honors Orchestra (Dr. Gregory Pritchard, Director) with the Brookwood Dance Department (Anna D'Antonio, Director).

          How about a wild career working with animals! This program introduces you to dedicated people all over the world who are working with and for wildlife.           In this stimulating multimedia performance, members of the National Symphony Orchestra explore scientific and musical concepts in acoustics, medicine, computer science, and psychology. This program is part of the Prince William Network and the Kennedy Center Performing Arts Series.

          "Gifts From the Kitchen"

          Join host Suzanne Magni, Kroger School of Cooking Instructor, and students from Trickum MS and Riverside ES as they create "Gifts from the Kitchen" that are sure to warm the heart of someone special on your holiday list. Gift ideas featured include Parmesan Star Croutons; Banana Pancake Mixes; and Gingerbread Houses. "Spotlight on Nutrition" segment provided by Mary Carol Eddleman, school nutrition manager at Lanier MS.
