NASA Shuttle Mission Coverage (Rescheduled)

Space Shuttle Atlantis and its six-member crew are now slated to lift off between the hours of 2 p.m - 6 p.m. EST on Monday, October 7. GCPS TV will begin its coverage of the Shuttle Flight at that time, and will air highlights of the mission in progress on a daily basis.

“GCPS Focus”

This week on GCPS FOCUS... coverage of Hispanic Heritage month activities, a look at competition between our high school scholars, student leaders in action, and recognition of our schools' environmental educational efforts. Schools visited include: Summerour MS, South Gwinnett HS, Bethesda ES, North Gwinnett HS, Brookwood HS, and Grayson HS.

The Case of the Phenomenal Weather

Join the treehouse detectives as they plan a trip to Florida and encounter problems trying to predict weather. In this case, the detectives will learn about violent storms such as hurricanes and tornadoes, weather fronts, global wind patterns, and climates. While solving the case, they will discover that predicting the weather is not predictable at all.
