Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology celebrates its 'Topping Off'

You're invited... 2009 Area Board MeetingsMeet your Board of Education and CEO/Superintendent Wilbanks
The School Board and CEO/Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks will meet with students, parents, educators, and community members in April for Area Board Meetings. One meeting will be scheduled in each Board member's area. Click here for the meeting schedule.
Board approves AKS recommendations of GEMS Committee  
In March, the Board approved recommendations of the GEMS Oversight Committee on changes to the Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum proposed by staff and community members in the areas of K-8 Language Arts, Technical Education, Foreign Language, Social Studies (Grade 6 and 7), and Math (Calculus). Watch for new, parent-friendly K-8 curriculum brochures in the fall.
Pursuing math excellenceState field tests high school math EOCTs
This spring, the state will field test End of Course Tests (EOCTs) for all levels of two high school math courses--Integrated Algebra and Integrated Geometry. Click here to learn more.
