Scenes from Starling Elementary's Literacy Carnival

Literacy took on a life of its own at Starling Elementary's Literacy Carnival, a fundraiser that kept students engaged in learning while raising funds for literacy resources. Students and teachers participated in a variety of games and read-aloud activities. Characters and books from Dr. Seuss' collection were featured, and students and their families enjoyed the "wild side" with a peek-through version of author Maurice Sendak's book, "Where the Wild Things Are."
