Great results for Gwinnett's Great Days of Service

Gwinnett's Great Days of Service, held during the week of September 29 - October 3, saw overwhelming participation from 95 schools.

Donated items included more than 100,000 canned goods collected from around the county along with hundreds of school supplies, hygiene items, cell phones, and glasses.

Special thanks are extended to all our students, staff, and learning communities for their participation and support.

Gwinnett Cooperative Ministries, which provide a variety of services to Gwinnett families, benefited from the donations. The school supplies were distributed to 12 Title I schools and the cell phones will help military service personnel keep in touch with their families.

Sixth graders at J.E. Richards Middle help with packaging canned goods for pick-up. The 6th grade won the school's contest for being the grade level to collect the most food items.
