      GCPS TV will air a special patriotic presentation in conjunction with the national moment of silence. One minute before the moment of silence is to begin, Superintendent Alvin Wilbanks will speak to employees and students. Immediately following the 60-second moment of silence, a video montage* will feature 2001-02 school activities tied to the events of September 11, 2001.

      Air Dates and Times:
      September 11, 2002-- 8:45 a.m. and 9:02 a.m.
      Target Audience: Students, employees, and Gwinnett County citizens.

      *The video montage will air on the hour between
      11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m on Wednesday, September 11

    On this week's FOCUS news show... Gwinnett's students top state and national average scores on the 2002 SAT, kudos to the system's newest Schools of Excellence, and a look at a pet therapy program for special needs students at Oakland Center.

    Air Dates and Times: Airing daily at 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and midnight.
    Target Audience: Employees and Gwinnett County citizens.
      NASA “Why?” Files:
      The Case of the Electrical Mystery

      In this program, viewers join the tree house detectives as they investigate "The Case of the Electrical Mystery." The tree house detectives are baffled as to why the electricity is on in the tree house but not on across the street at the neighbor's house. In solving the case, the detectives learn about electricity and how it is generated.

      Air Dates and Times: One-hour program, airing daily at 9:00 a.m. *Program note: program will not air on Wed. Sept. 11.

      Target Audience: Grades 3-5.
