GCPS is seeking public feedback on supplemental materials

Gwinnett County Public Schools invites parents, students, staff, and community members to provide feedback on supplemental materials that have been proposed to support Multilingual Learners at the Elementary School level. The virtual public review of these resources will run through Saturday, April 27.

Engage, Equip, Empower Series will have a virtual family night on May 1 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Engage, Equip, Empower Series - Empowering Conversations

GCPS invites all families to attend a powerful and informational session with district and community leaders on May 1 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. During this session, district and community leaders will discuss the importance of mental health and drug abuse awareness. Families will also learn how families can find help and support for both concerns. Interpretation will be provided in Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, and Chinese.

Kindergarten Squad encouraging families their children o register for Kindergarten
Kindergarten Registration has begun!

Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-25 school year is now available, and will be completely online. Parents and guardians of children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2024, are encouraged to register their new kindergartner by May 3 to be entered into a drawing for cool learning prizes!

The GCPS Book Mobile 5K and Fun Run is back!

Book it for the bus! The 2024 GCPS Book Mobile 5K and Fun Run will be held on Saturday, May 4, at the GCPS Instructional Support Center, located at 437 Old Peachtree Road NW in Suwanee.

The event will raise funds for the Book Mobile program to help get books in kids’ hands and promote the love of reading. A family-friendly atmosphere before and after the race features door prizes, snacks, music, and more!

April is School Library Month. On Sunday, April 7, we celebrated the start of National Library Week. Tuesday, April 9, we recognized National Library Workers Day. Thank you to our media specialists, media clerks, and GCPS' Media Services staff for promoting a love of reading! You help transform learning through technology and teaching information literacy skills in the largest classroom in the school... our media centers!
