Destination Math in Gwinnett County middle schools
|Students in Gwinnett’s 20 middle schools and two alternative schools have a digital destination to enhance their math achievement: Destination Math.|
These engaging, interactive math activities are aligned with GCPS Academic Knowledge and Skills curriculum. The online tool can be used in a number of ways. Teachers might assign specific activities or tests. Students also have the opportunity to explore on their own to complete tutorials and practice problems for new concepts.
Destination Math reinforces the basic skills that every student needs to master in order to be prepared for more advanced math. In addition, the program enhances students’ math reasoning skills, conceptual understanding, and problem-solving skills. Topics include number sense, algebra, geometry, measurement, and data analysis.
While Destination Math is used most in the regular classroom during the school day, Gwinnett middle school students also have access to the program wherever they have access to a high-speed Internet connection. All they need is their student ID number.
