Attendance Zones

Attendance Zones

Attendance zones for Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) are determined by geographical boundaries, called clusters. Within each cluster, there are three to six elementary schools, one or two middle schools, and one high school. Attendance lines drawn within the cluster’s boundaries determine which elementary or middle school in the cluster a student attends. To find out which school your child will attend, call the GCPS Planning Department at 678-301-7085.

GCPS has a number of facilities and programs for which attendance is not determined by cluster. These are: Buice School (special education services, special needs pre-K, and early childhood programs); GIVE Center East (Gwinnett InterVention Education Center, an alternative program for middle and high school students); GIVE Center West an alternative program for middle and high school students; Gwinnett Online Campus (system charter online high school); Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (system charter high school, applications accepted in winter for rising 9th graders only); Hooper Renwick School (special education); Ivy Preparatory Academy (Board-approved start-up charter school on a one-year contract); Monarch School (special education services, special needs pre-K, ADAPT, and early childhood programs); Maxwell High School of Technology (system charter high school offering technical education programs); New Life Academy of Excellence (Board-approved start-up charter school with two campuses); Oakland Meadow School (special education); and Phoenix High (open campus).
