GO Bond Approved by Voters

GO Bond Approved by Voters

February 5, 2008, was a night of celebration for
Gwinnett County Public Schools as Gwinnett
voters overwhelmingly approved a
$750 million
bond referendum that will let the district build
eight schools and additions at 10 existing campuses
.
The new schools and additions funded by the bonds
are scheduled to open in 2010 and 2011. In addition,
the bond proceeds will fund technology improvements,
including upgrades for elementary schools, as well as
land for future schools.

Special thanks to the citizens and parents who supported
this effort, keeping Gwinnett County Public Schools'
building program on track.
