Review your school's LSPI (Local School Plan for Improvement) Objectives

LSPI process: IE2 isn’t changing GCPS’ core business of teaching and learning. However, instead of planning one year at a time, we’re looking ahead and planning out five years for improvement. Long-term goals in this rolling plan aren’t fixed. Schools are dynamic and LSPIs will change to reflect new data and changing school populations.

LSPI make-up:
The school will use baseline data to determine areas needing improvement over five years. For each general goal, the school will identify specific, measurable annual objectives for each year. Staff development will be tied to the identified objectives. School leaders will develop an implementation plan.

Although LSPIs are submitted during the summer, school leaders will revisit LSPIs as new data is available. During the year, schools will monitor progress toward goals… identifying what’s working and what isn’t, and making needed changes. At the end of the year, results will serve as a baseline for improvement goals in future years.
