The Flu: Information for Parents

Many of you may have heard media reports about cases of swine flu that have occurred in other areas of the country. All Gwinnett County Public Schools facilities are open. However, we do understand the concerns some parents have expressed regarding flu-related illnesses. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the East Metro Health District are good sources of information on health-related topics like the flu.

School System Status:
All Gwinnett County Public Schools facilities are open. At this time, no Gwinnett County schools are closed. Should a situation call for the district to close a school, that decision will be announced on this web site, via the school system's TV station, and through metro-Atlanta news media.
