You will need to complete the new Free and Reduced Application form for next school year. The new online form will be available July 1, 2016.

The online application form is available 24/7 and is a secure environment.
Parents are welcome to complete and submit an online application form at anytime.
When you submit your online form, please make sure you receive a confirmation number.
At a later date, you will be able to use this number to find out the status of your child’s online application.

Please note that all online applications submitted this summer will not be processed until a few weeks
prior to the beginning of school. However, your child’s approved Free or Reduced eligibility status will
be available the first day of school.

Breakfast and Lunch Menus for SY16

Our menus are planned in accordance with the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. These standards align school meals with the latest nutrition science ensuring that our students have the best available foods that they need to grow and develop.

All breakfasts and lunches are planned using a Food-Based Menu Planning Approach. At lunch we are required to offer 5 food components- Fruits, Vegetables, Grains, Meat/Meat Alternate and Milk. At breakfast we are required to offer 3 food components- Grains, Fruit and Milk. Please continue to our Menu Tab to view our menus for SY15.

As part of our Farm to School initiative our schools offer locally and regionally sources ingredients regularly.

Our goal is to create an experience that kids will remember, serve health meals that kids crave and follow sound food safety practices that kids deserve. Enjoy!

About SNP

The Gwinnett County School Nutrition Program has over 1,700 Food Service Professionals providing meal service in 128 schools.
In SY14 the School Nutrition Programs served on average 177,814 meals per day. In SY14 there were 20,434,063 lunches and 10,5511,485 breakfasts served!

The School Nutrition Program (SNP) operates fiscally independent within the District, paying for all direct expenses, administrative costs, and utilities. The SY15 annual budget exceeds $90,000,000.

Revenue sources include local meal sales (26.50%),state supplement (2.4%) and federal reimbursements (70.90%). Federal reimbursement subsidizes all reimbursable (student) meals. This allows for meals to be offered free and at a reduced price to qualifying students as well as at a reasonable price for paying students. The USDA Commodity program is another form of federal assistance that allows for additional meal price reduction (.2275 per plate).
