Assessment Option(s):
1. Students will develop and use a questionnaire to survey others on their awareness of the danger of second hand smoke.
2. Students will graph the data collected, relate their findings to at least two character education qualities, and present to the class. |
Activity: 1. Students will research the dangers of second hand smoke.
2. Students will design a questionnaire and survey others to determine their awareness of the danger of second hand smoke. (The three categories found on pages 530 - 531 should be used to create and evaluate the questionnaire.)
3. Students will summarize the data collected into a graph.
4. Students will summarize their data and present their results in one of the following formats: poster, video, verbal report, or written summary.
5. The summary must include and relate at least two of the following character education qualities that have been listed on the board: citizenship, compassion, tolerance, respect for the environment, patience.
