Mr. David Jones, Principal

Dear Parents and Community Members, I am David Jones, and I am so very pleased and excited to introduce myself as your new principal at Mason Elementary School. Mason Elementary is a wonderful school that has benefited from strong leadership, caring staff members, dedicated teachers, committed parents, and excellent students. It is with a great sense of gratitude that I accept the opportunity to become a member of such a wonderful learning community. As I join Mason, I pledge my unwavering support, hard work, and dedication to continuing this tradition of excellence. That tradition has made Mason a great place for students and I look forward to continuing that legacy of learning. Let me take this opportunity to share a little about my education background and experiences. I earned bachelors' degrees in both Finance and Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University and a master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University. I am currently enrolled in Gwinnett's Aspiring

Principal Program and was in the first cohort of Gwinnett's Aspiring Leader Program. I have had the good fortune to have a wide range of experiences in my 17 years of education. Prior to serving as an assistant principal at Shiloh Elementary, I had the opportunity to teach third graders at Rockbridge Elementary and first and fourth graders at Craig Elementary. I pledge to communicate and work with you to be certain our students are learning and that decisions are made with our students' best interests in mind. I hope you will share with me your thoughts and ideas for how we can build on the great traditions already established here at our school.
